Fera: Scalable E-commerce store from scratch

Fera offers products and accessories for pets. The client approached us with a need to put up a new E-commerce platform. We took care of creating a complete design, selecting the appropriate technology and implementing integrations to ensure the automation of sales processes. The premise was to create a scalable and secure platform, which was designed to enable long-term sales and growth. Once the platform was launched, the client's focus was on building reach and promoting the brand.

Strategy and approach

When developing an E-commerce platform for Fera, our team decided to use CS-Cart technology. The project covered comprehensive actions - from creating a unique graphic design and visual identity for the brand, through planning sales processes, to implementing a warehouse management system (WMS) based on SAP technology. With this integrated approach, we ensured smooth order processing and professional shipping service.

We also implemented the Trusted Shops system to build customer trust by providing certified reviews. Next, we integrated the site with Google Merchant Center, which greatly improved its online visibility. In parallel, we conducted marketing strategies to not only increase the brand's reach, but also to engage potential customers.

Implemented integrations

As part of the project for the Fera store, we implemented integrations with a number of external platforms and services, key to supporting sales and logistics processes, as well as improving overall customer satisfaction. Among them were:

  • Allegro platform: A skillful connection with Allegro enabled us to reach a wider audience and improve sales management.

  • ERP system: The use of an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) system allowed optimization of internal operations, including inventory management and customer service.

  • Courier services: Cooperation with leading providers such as DPD, DHL and InPost provided flexible and fast delivery options, improving the shopping experience for customers.

  • Payment systems: Integration with payment systems, including DotPay, PayU and the PAYBACK loyalty program, has enabled secure and convenient billing methods for customers.

  • Price comparison sites: Connecting with price comparison sites has allowed for better product visibility and more competitive offerings.

Additional sales channel

In December 2015, we launched fera.lt, the Lithuanian version of our online store, using the experience gained in Poland. The platform, based on the CS-Cart system and integrated with Google Merchant Center, quickly gained popularity due to better online visibility.

Adapting the offer to the needs of the Lithuanian market, we introduced integrations with local courier Omniva, payment system MisterTango and price comparison sites Kainos and Kaina24, which ensured fast delivery and convenient online payments. The store's entire infrastructure has been located in Lithuania, which has contributed to increased trust among customers. The fera.cz store, which was launched next, strengthened the company's position in the international E-commerce market.

Results of our cooperation

Cooperation with Fera inspired us and allowed us to achieve significant results. Thanks to our comprehensive strategy, focused on integrations with key platforms and appropriate adaptation to the specifics of the market, we created an innovative and competitive online store. Results such as becoming one of the largest pet stores in Poland and triple-digit year-on-year sales growth confirm the effectiveness of our approach and commitment to our customers' success. This is an example of how joint work, strategic approach and the right tools can contribute to dynamic E-commerce growth, increasing brand visibility online.
