Scalable E-commerce platform for Unicard

Unicard is a market leader in access control, time & attendance solutions, people identification systems, security and building automation integration. The company offers a wide range of services, including consulting, maintenance, hardware and software delivery tailored to individual customer needs. Unicard approached us with a need to modernize and integrate their E-commerce platform with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system. The company needed a modern solution that would not only meet their current operational needs, but also enable future business growth and scaling.

Goals of cooperation

The collaboration with Unicard was aimed at resolving several key issues related to the modernization and integration of the E-commerce platform. Unicard needed a modern solution that would meet current operational needs and enable future growth. A key component of the project was integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP to ensure seamless management of data, orders and other business processes. It was also important to retain all original functionality to ensure continuity of operations and customer satisfaction.

The ultimate goal was to create a flexible and scalable platform that could grow with Unicard, enabling it to respond to changing market and customer needs. This would enable Unicard to continue to offer its customers the highest quality services and products, while streamlining its internal processes.

Project challenges

During the implementation of the project for Unicard, we encountered several significant challenges that had a key impact on the final design and functionality of the new E-commerce platform.

One of the biggest challenges was the integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP in a short timeframe. Due to the complexity and scope of the ERP system, the integration had to be done precisely and seamlessly to ensure continuity of business operations. It was also necessary to preserve all the original functionality of the existing platform, which meant that any new functionality had to be fully compatible with existing processes and systems.

An additional challenge was the limited budget. The project had to be implemented efficiently, with high quality, but within the available budget. This required careful planning and optimization of resources to achieve all set goals without going over budget.

These challenges required our team to have an advanced technological approach, precise project management and close cooperation with Unicard at every stage of the project.

Strategy and approach

In order to meet the challenges of the project, we proposed to build the store on the Shopware 6 platform. The choice of this technology was dictated by its flexibility, automation capabilities and budget availability, which allowed us to effectively manage costs while ensuring a high-quality solution. Shopware 6 also offers scalability, which is crucial for the future growth of Unicard's business.

Thanks to the advanced tools and technologies used in Shopware 6, we were able to create a consistent and efficient system that enables seamless management of data and operational processes.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with the Unicard team to ensure that all customer requirements were met. Our sprint-based approach allowed for incremental functionality, improvements and optimizations, which contributed significantly to the success of the project.

Results of cooperation

As a result of our strategy and approach, we were able to quickly implement a stable E-commerce platform based on Shopware 6. The new platform allows different paths to make purchases, depending on the type of customer, which increases convenience and user satisfaction. One of the key successes of the project was the successful integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, which allowed seamless management of data and operational processes. The automation of many processes significantly improved the efficiency of the system, reducing the time and resources needed to manage orders and other operations. Thanks to Shopware 6's scalability, the platform is prepared for future growth and easy implementation of new features, allowing Unicard to flexibly adapt to changing market needs.
